LTTE Main Intelligence Operation Center Attacked, Sri Lanka Air Force Claims

According to MCNS reports, this attack took place around 9.55 a.m.
SLAF claims quoting pilots, that the target was attacked successfully. Heavy damages expecting, they added.
However LTTE was not avialable immediatly for comments.
There areas are restricted for journalists, so independet verifications are not available.

The body of one pilot, Flight Lt. Monash Perera has been found at the crash site, Air Force said. Squadron Leader Vajira Jayakody survived with serious injuries. One civilian wounded by the crash.
The aircraft were reportedly rehearsing for the fly-past aerobatics and a skydiving display for the 60th anniversary of the air force. The celebration is scheduled to be start on Wednesday (02).
President Mahinda Rajapaksa who has been invited as the chief guest for the event at the Ratmalana air base visited the scene of the accident.
Those jets were used in the 30 year long civil war which was ended in 2009.

Nine Year Old Girl Reped by Sri Lanka Army Soldiers
(NIDAHASA News) A nine year old ethnic Tamil girl has been raped by three suspected Sri Lanka Army soldiers, reports say.

The victim is a grade five student of Sitthandi Digili Vellei School in Madakalapu. Girl was admitted to the Mawadiwembu hospital.
Army Media Spokesman Major Prasad Samarasinghe confirmed to media, that the girls’ mother has been filed a complaint in police regarding the crime.
Meanwhile Body of a man who protested against the rape found near in nearby lake, report said further.
According to reports, a group of soldiers went to house to house and threat villagers who protested against the crime. Commodore soldiers are questioning the girl frequently victim, reports said.

(NIDAHASA News) Sri Lanka police claims that they have uncovered a plot to assassinate Defense secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse, who is the younger brother of President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Police recovered suicide bomb kits, ammunition and hand grenades from a house at a residential complex situated in Mutwal today, police spokesman Deputy Inspector General Nimal Mediwaka saod tp media.
According to Police, the LTTE plan was to carry out a guerrilla attack on the Gotabhaya Rajapakse. They planned to make sure of Defence secretary death by attacking the ambulance carrying the injured Rajapakse to the hospital after the guerrilla attack, police spokesman added.
Gotabhaya Rajapakse also survived a previous suicide attack by the LTTE in 2006.
